James W. Haskins
A lifelong resident of the Martinsville-Henry County area, James “Jim” Haskins graduated from Martinsville High School before attending the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. From an early age, Jim knew he wanted to pursue a career as a trial attorney.
After earning his undergraduate degree, he remained in Charlottesville to attend the University of Virginia School of Law. Following graduation, Jim joined the firm, where he was mentored by the firm's founder, R.R. “Jim” Young, Jr. Over the course of more than five decades, he has focused his practice on personal injury and medical malpractice litigation, representing individuals and families throughout Southern Virginia and beyond.
Outside the office, Jim enjoys spending time at with his wife at their home, where he can often be found feeding and observing birds or taking care of his golden retrievers.
John L. Gregory, III
Born and raised in Martinsville, Virginia, John L. Gregory, III returned home to practice law after earning his Juris Doctor from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond.
Over the course of his distinguished career, John has earned a reputation throughout Virginia as a trusted advisor to businesses, financial institutions, and families. His practice focuses on corporate, business, and banking law, where he counsels clients on commercial transactions, business formation and governance, and contract negotiations. He also advises clients on commercial and residential real estate transactions and estate planning. Known for his practical judgment and depth of experience, John provides strategic legal guidance tailored specifically to each client’s needs.
Outside of the office, John enjoys traveling across the United States with his wife in their Airstream. He also enjoys spending time with his two children and four grandchildren.
Scott C. Wall
Scott Wall joined the firm in 2001 after earning his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law. A Collinsville native and graduate of Fieldale-Collinsville High School, he also attended the University of Virginia.
Scott's practice is concentrated in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, and domestic relations. He represents clients throughout Southern Virginia in both litigation and other legal matters.
Outside of the office, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children. He is also an avid supporter of his alma mater and can often be found cheering on the University of Virginia basketball team.
Katherine “Katie Ryan” Snyder
A Martinsville native, Katie Ryan graduated from Carlisle School before attending the University of Georgia — Go Dawgs! She earned her Juris Doctor from T. C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond and returned home to begin her legal career.
Katie Ryan's practice focuses on corporate and business law, estate planning, and commercial and residential real estate. She advises individuals, families, and businesses on a wide range of legal matters, providing practical guidance and thoughtful solutions to help clients achieve their goals.
Outside of the office, Katie Ryan enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs, Russell and Bruce.
